The Collections are photographs taken by Stuart randomly throughout time. Any scene or subject that stirs the interest have been captured and placed in collections of ten images, the only factor linking them are the time they were taken. When ten images are thought to be worthy of being included, they are, simple as that. When ten images are approved, another collection is made, numbered, beginning with one.
The images have all been taken using a Holga camera , one of the simplest pieces of equipment you could use to take a photograph. For those interested it is the 'Holga 120 FN' plastic camera with a plastic lens, it has a built in basic flash, but we think that has stopped working. Stuart likes the fact that if more light is needed, then just hold the shutter open a little longer and see what happens. Simple. The images are all being recorded on Fuji Neopan 400 Professional Black and White film. Stuart has always been a fan of this film from way back when he began photographing bands, almost all of his early black and white photographs were recorded on this film. The negatives are then taken into the darkroom and the images record on Adaox Neuance paper G2 or 3, using the Lith process.
